Finn Sheep

The Finn Sheep are a great breed for new Shepards. They are a medium size sheep that fit the ideal back yard hobbyist. Sheep keep the weeds down with out stripping the landscape like goats. Finn sheep grow a wool coat that is prized by hand spinners. They look like clouds or cotton candy with stick legs. On the flip side they are great to fill freezers. Finns have a mild lamb flavor that is not expected, by even the pickiest eaters. Ewes are prolific producers and great mothers. They commonly have triplets and can breed twice a year. For more information please visit the Finn Breeders Association (FBA) website.

Horses

On our farm we are working on setting up boarding. We will have 6-24ft x 24ft pens with partial covers, 4-12ft x12ft barn stalls with 12ft x 24ft runs. We are working on the barn stalls, each will have fans and outside pens will have misters under cover. Mats will be in the inside barn stalls while every where else will be dirt. Our plans is to have mats in all horses living areas, but this will happen over time.
